Anodizing
This process, which we call anodic oxidation or simply anodising, is an eco-friendly surface treatment method that has been used for decorative or industrial applications for eighty years. It is one of the most important surface treatments applied to aluminum products. It is a process of electrochemical coating of the aluminum surface with the oxide layer which increases the resistance to atmospheric conditions and gives decorative effect on the aluminum surface. The anodizing layer is very hard, resistant to abrasion and it gives the aluminium superior properties.
Conditions that determine the thickness of the anodized layer are where the profiles are used. 10 microns for interior and 20 microns for exterior are recommended. High-micron profiles should also be requested in corrosive environments such as sea-sides.
Coloring process after coating; (Gray, Bronze, Brown, Black, Yellow and Tones) are made with electrolytic coloring process. Satinated and bright effects can be given to the profile surfaces before the anodic process according to customer demand.
The monthly capacity of our anodizing plant is 600 tons and the annual capacity is 7,200 tons. The maximum length that can be applied is 7000 mm. The thickness of the anodising layer is standard 10-12 microns, but we can make it up to 25 microns if demanded.
